My Big Fat Greek Thighs


Victoria,
I feel bad writing to you, but I need some expert advice. My husband trying to be sweet bought me a piece of garbage infomercial equipment that is terrible. I don’t want to insult anyone, but the person who sells it is a short stumpy guy.

I tried to use the thing for a week and felt completely awkward doing it. I really wanted it to do what the box it came in said it would do so I kept using it.

After a week I got pissed! I noticed after a week my big fat Greek thighs felt even thicker. I love my husband, but I am never using that thing again, I already gave it to my mom. She will never use it so I don’t have to worry about her getting thicker. HAH!

I need help. I eat a typical Greek diet but I want to lose body fat and trim up my lower body. I love my round boobs, so I figured if I was smaller on the bottom I would have a sexy shape and my husband would be happy. What do you suggest for me?

Adrianna, I am still laughing from your email. You must be fun to hang out with.

I totally empathize with your husband. I use to buy everything sold to try to lose weight too. One time I bought this entire “Cellulite Blasting Loofah System” that promised to smooth out the cellulite on my big fat carbohydrate thighs. I ordered it out of the back of a sleazy magazine.

Girl, I was so excited to get it.

When it finally came; you know the allow 4-6 weeks delivery game companies use right? I probably gained ten extra pounds just anticipating its effectiveness. I figured, why diet when you know you can just rub the fat away!

Well…after what felt like eternity, it finally came. I ran into the privacy of my bathroom and opened the box. There it was, 2 bottles of cellulite solution (probably dish soap) and the magic loofah sponge. This sponge was so hard; I could have sandpapered primer on 86 Chevy with it.

I jumped into the shower, lathered up and began scrubbing! OUCH!!!!!!!

I had never experienced such excruciating pain. I was tough. I kept rubbing and rubbing like any dedicated weight loss junkie would. When I felt like my nerve endings were coming through my thighs, I stopped. My thighs were screaming. They were beat red, raw and so sore I couldn’t even dry them off with a towel.

After I came to my senses, I felt like a total idiot. I hurt so badly, I could not even wear jeans. I had to wear soft sweats for a week.

I know, you are just like me. You are asking, but did it work? Were they smoother, were they thinner?

My answer, HELL NO!! All I got was chafed fat!

You can’t rub, scrub or sandpaper fat off your thighs. There is only one formula for losing fat. It has three components.

1. Food -A Low-carb Diet
2. Fat Burning - Cardo
3. Weights - Light Resistance Training.


1. Food – Low Carbs
You can do it. There are a lot of amazing Greek things you can eat on a lower glycemic low carb.

Although in reality, it doesn't matter what the ethnicity the food is. All that matters is exactly what you are eating; lean proteins, vegetables and low carb high fiber carbohydrates.

In a word, your Greek food, like any other cuisine can be managed, by avoiding the obvious high carb foods. Also, never fear to ask the waiter what you really want. He will be only too happy to oblige

2. Cardio Fat Burning
To burn fat and reshape your body, you can’t beat cardiovascular exercise. Getting your heart pumping and boosting your metabolism is what cardio does best, and it’s the only surefire way to lose weight and get rid of fat.

Some cardiovascular activities burn more calories than others and speed up fat loss while reshaping the body, and that makes them good choices for people who are serious about losing weight and improving aerobic capacity.

I like Power Walking. I give you a detailed program guide in my thin Thighs program. I also like tread milling for fat burning while shaping your thighs and butt.

Step aerobics is also one of most recommended workouts. My Step DVD is retro and a classic, it is still one of the most used step DVD’s in the WORLD. You get motivated, you burn fat, and you have a blast!

3. Weight Training
Resistance Training Can Work For You Regardless of Your Current Shape. Muscle is Health; Muscle is your foundation for life.

I know because I have done thousands of hours of aerobics and my shape never changed. I had a typical Pear Body. That is right if you have a pear shaped body and you lose weight, you will have a smaller pear. You have to have a structured lower body-reshaping plan that works.

Benefits of Resistance Training and Muscle

Resistance Training can give you lean abs, killer legs, strong shoulders, tight buns, graceful arms, tall posture and much more.

Preventing Osteoporosis. Resistance training combined with a balanced diet is one of the best methods for preventing the debilitating disease, osteoporosis (bone loss) that afflicts women as they age.

Muscle is Power - Strength – Longevity

Muscle is your engine (metabolism) - The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn.

Muscle is one of the vital keys to combat aging and gravity.

Getting stronger helps, you regain your sense of power, strength, youth and vitality. You are never too old to get stronger. One of my best clients was 68 years old.

Resistance Training can give you lean abs, killer legs, strong shoulders, tight buns, graceful arms, tall posture and much more.

Victoria, I am 45 yrs old and 100 lbs overweight (since age 25.) Two weeks ago I walked out of my job on my lunch hour and decided I was not going back. Two days later I bought the bible at Target and the next day I went to Barnes and Nobel and was drawn to your book by the beautiful cover. I read it in about 3 days and thank God I found it.

You speak to the whole person, as we are not just our body. I went to the grocery store and immediately bought 6 min oatmeal, bran cereal, rye crisps and tons of fruits and veggies.
