Victoria Johnson / Before & After It was the middle of July and I has set my start date for August 30, 1999 to begin teaching Spirit Moves Classes. I had exactly 6 weeks to work out a a routine, lose some weight, gain some self-confidence, and keep on praying! The day came for the first class, and three people showed up. We did have a workout, but let's just say that God knew I definitely needed some help! So to the next class he sent a messenger, Victoria Johnson! Victoria is a woman of incredible faith, as well as an internationally known fitness expert. Victoria gave me the confidence to continue, despite my inhibitions. God carried me through the panic of wanting to quite and used Victoria as His messenger to show me that I was the one He had chosen to lead this class. Now, one year and 45 pounds later, over 30 women have participated in Spirit Moves! I have met some boundless women that have come to restore the temples that God created for them! We are strong and not just physically! We are full of God's message to us... We are beautifully created in His image. Last year at the First Annual Womens Conference at NBCC I received from Victoria her Quick Energy Program, that evening after the conference I read the entire book. I was excited to start the program I was looking for something new. I had tried many programs with some success but I felt I would have great success with Victorias Quick Energy Program. I started the program and was feeling lots of energy the more and more I did the program. I was telling all my friends that wanted more energy about the Quick Energy Program. Then I the received Victorias Total Body Workout, and I am telling you, it is AWESOME. I enjoy the video so much that I was doing it daily. I live on the third floor of a tri plex and they thought he roof was falling in at 5:00 in the morning. I lost 2 pants sizes, about 50 lbs. and gained tons of energy right away! I am still doing the Quick energy program and the energy is still great, the pounds are not coming off fast, but by the grace of God I will be at my goal just a year later than I wanted. I am a 30 yar old woman with 5 children, ages 7, 5, 3 and 10 month old twins! (yes) I've struggled with weight for half of my life. I've always been told "what a beautiful face" qualified with "and you're tall and big-boned so you can carry the weight." The more weight I carried, the more my spirit shrank and shrank. You can imagine what having 5 kids in 7 years might do to the body. The twins were born on March 22 and I weighed 237 lbs. Seven months later the weight lingered and I had only dropped to 194 lbs. I began your Total Body Workout on November 4. By December 5, I weighed 186 and had lost 9 inches. Today I weigh 169 lbs, and have lost 14 total inches! This morning I did your Powershaping II Workout for the first time and loved it! I felt strong. The Abs video is waiting for me tomorrow. My ENERGY, Self-Esteem and "ATTITUDE" have sky rocketed. Dear Victoria, I received your Diamond Collection Videos as a gift & I just LOVE them! You make exercising fun so it doesn't seem like exercising. I like your jokes about not kicking the cat and your little remarks to Yante. When things that can otherwise be not so pleasant are made fun, then we tend to continue doing them. I realize how important movement is to everyone, especially someone like myself. I have had back surgery, so if I don't keep moving & stretching the muscles, they become very tight and seem to seize up. Your videos allow us to work at our own pace, in fact you encourage it. This show your caring & concern. My personal favorite of the videos is Power Shaping II, but I enjoy free weights anyway, and this gives very effective movements. Victoria, In January 1997, and during an appointment with my family doctor I weighed 233 lbs, an increase of 27 lbs since October 1996. I had problems losing excess storage fat, my aerobic workouts were not productive, and my eating habits went unchanged as I began to store excess fat faster than ever. While at a Victoria Johnson workshop, I reviewed information about dietary supplements and Pyruvate caught my attention. The Pyruvate appealed to me, with its listed facts about increased endurance and enhanced metabolism for fat utilization, I gave it some serious thought and later purchased the Provate Supplement. On September 25, 1997 I began using the dietary supplement Provate, combined with Victoria Johnson's Thermal Diet Laws (The Unlimited Energy Program - 30 days to life). I began to lose weight immediately: Week One: 4 lbs. The use of this supplement, increased my efforts to burn fat calories and lose the storage fat. I'm lucky enough to be able to attend Victoria Johnson's Jam Sessions in Person at a portland health club. But after giving birth to a new baby, and working full time as a television news reporter, my health club days are few and far between.
Victoria's Body Shoppe tapes have come to the rescue. By combining a Step Training with Power and Maximum Abs tapes I can get a workout that is nearly identical to the one she teaches in person.
Victoria's intensity, her contagious enthusiasm, not to mention her moves, motivate and elevate. I'd refer anyone who can't make it to a club to make an investment in Victoria Johnson's Video Workout Collection!

Thank You I say thank you because of you. You motivated me to dance, lift weights, smile again, get energy and help me to lose 80 lbs. I weighed 218 lbs at 5 foot 7 inches, but I still was fat and sad and breathing hard. I was a size 26 in women's sizes, now I can wear 13 Junior like my teenage daughter. We both shop for clothes in the teenager dept. at Macy's .
I have always been a size 13 in high school and even after I dad my first daughter at age 23 I had stayed a size 13. My problem began when I turned 36 years and I had my 2nd daughter. That's when I got fat. I ate 3 peanut butter sandwiches and 2 glasses of milk at 2:00 am in the morning. Every morning!
I prayed to God to help me to change my eating habits and help me to move around more. I went to a Target Store just browsing around in the video section. I was looking for a video workout tape that could help me move my body with funk and boogie. I saw this tape named H.A.B.I.T. Hips, Abs, Buns and Incredible Thighs. This was the first Victoria Johnson Video I purchased. I used it daily. Then I ordered the free catalog and ordered the rest of the video Collection: The Diamond Collection, Technifunk II, Hip Hop Solution, Dance Step Formula and Step & Shape! I have a total of 10 videos of Victoria Johnson.
That was 4 years ago and I still workout daily 6 days a week with Victoria Johnson tapes. She's like a friend to me and so are the other dancers like Kendall and Sue. Sue is my favorite dancer that you have on your videos.
I leave my TV on all night. One night in 1996 I thought I was dreaming. I was sleeping and I heard this voice say "You've got to move it to lose it!". I woke up, and to my surprise, it was you Victoria. I started crying. I saw that you have your own show and now I tape all your Victoria's Body Shoppe shows. Then I discovered that you have a web site and I found you there too.
Thank you, Victoria. Keep up the Excellent work and God Bless you. I keep writing Oprah Winfrey about you on a weekly basis and I send Oprah E-mails about you and how you helped me. I hope that you will be on Oprah's show one day and I will be sitting in the audience right in the first row. The next time Oprah has a fitness show I hope and pray that you two strong women will come together. Because there are many women who are still trapped in a fat body, overeating and feeling sad and hopeless.
Victoria Johnson and Oprah Winfrey need to come together before America and show "fat" women that they need to eat right and move daily, workout, walk, sweat, and get fine and frisky. I use the word "fat" not to be mean, but to be truthful. Because that was in my body: "fat"
I am happy to tell you that my weight is still under control and I stay a steady 137 - 140 lbs and a size 10 - 12!

Hi !!!!!!! How are you? I have been waiting for over two years to tell you that you the best !!!!! We just got a computer and for all this time at the end of your shows there would be your e-mail address and your phone etc. I did call for your catalog once and whoever answered the phone probably thought "what's wrong with her?" I was so excited that I was able to contact your place of business. I'm just trying to let you know that you are TERRIFIC !! I came across your show just by chance. I watched and it looked so difficult, but like alot of fun. I tried it and loved it. The things you say would just crack me up. A lot of things you say I can also relate to. The music is so motivational alone. "Don't you ever give up" is my motto now. I live by that. I always look forward to your shows. I love your words of wisdom.
I have always had a weight problem. I wouldn't say I was obese, but definitely overweight. Especially after three kids. Two years ago (three end of Feb.) I got serious about aerobics, but my husband and I had already begun weight training. Now the only area left is nutrition. I do try there, but my biggest problem is evening snacking. It's so hard, I know better but still . . . . I will overcome that too. Some day.
I just want you to know that your shows give what others do not. I do workout to Fit TV and Gilad too, but yours is my favorite. If I can only do one workout for the day it's yours !!! It always puts me in a good mood. Especially when I get those dance moves. I'm finally feeling confident that I'm doing well and keeping up. What a feeling !!! I walk around the house quoting you all the time. "Victoria says . . . "
I love how you make it dance aerobics and that you also include the step every so often. I just wanted to say keep doing what you're doing. I don't ever want to turn the TV on and not see you there. I've e-mailed Oprah about you. I think you should get on her show. It's always easier to imagine what you want to say, but it's hard to put down into words. Basically I wanted you to know that your show is important to me. I enjoy it, the challenge, fun, knowledge, company, motivation, music, crew and you. You're always so positive. I recently saw your exercise program for the first time, while channel surfing and boy was it GREAT! I ran upstairs and told my husband to turn the channel, he had to see this show, then I ran out and purchased a blank tape so I can record and start the program as soon as possible. I work days but happened to be off when I caught it. Your show is about the best exercise program I've seen on t.v. since the 20 minute workout, I have about 40 pounds to lose and I have a feeling I can do it with your help.

I found you Web site a couple of weeks ago and I can't tell you how excited I am to get started on your Unlimited Energy Guide that I ordered. I moved to San Diego with my husband and family two years ago in June, but am a native of the Washington state area. I grew up in Vancouver WA and lived in Seattle with my husband while he was going to school up at the UW. Victoria, I must say that it is refreshing to see that a fitness expert such as yourself has actually experienced the negative and painful road of low self esteem and a weight problem. After reading your success story I was remotivated to continuing on the on long journey of getting back into shape.
I too am a short gal standing 5'2 and at my highest weight was 182 lbs. I don't use the scale anymore as I can gauge my success by the inches I've lost and the smaller size clothes. I've gone from a size 16-18 to a 6-8. I still need to lose more inches as I have the most trouble with my inner and outer thighs but I'm thankful for the success that I (with God's willpower as well) have accomplished thus far. I'm excited to receive your book and get the added incentive I need to successfully achieve the goal I have set for myself. I'm also going to be ordering your new step aerobic tapes!

Girl, I just love your H.A.B.I.T video. For the past two years you have been a big part of my life.
I made the decision to lose weight because I did not like the way I felt. I was up to 205 lbs.; I decided to go find an exercise tape to get me started or at least motivated. I purchased your H.A.B.I.T video. I watched the video for three days, before I actually did the tape.
I started on April 1, 1994. Four times a week faithfully I did the H.A.B.I.T video; I also changed my eating habits just a little and started drinking more water. The first month I lost 20 lbs., the second through third month I was 40 lbs. lighter. By November 1, 1994 I had lost a total of 65 lbs.
When the holidays came around I had cut back to three times a week, because I started attending classes in the evening. When Thanksgiving and Christmas came I ate like a pig. Would you believe I still lost weight even after I ate so much food. So by May of 1995 I lost a total of 75 lbs. I felt like I was floating on air!!!!
My friends were asking what my secret was, I told them with a big smile her name is, "Victoria Johnson" and the girl is BAD. All six of my girlfriends and even co-workers went out and bought your H.A.B.I.T video; everybody didn't stick with it though, but some did and lost the weight.
By January 1996 I stopped exercising because my schedule with a full-time job, attending college part-time, and raising three children became very hectic. By December 1, 1996 I had gained half of the 75lbs. back. Girl, I was mad at myself!
January 13, 1997, I started back with the H.A.B.I.T video, and switching up with Technifunk II, I exercise four times a week, and some days my body actually crave the exercise. So far, I have lost 10 pounds and inches as well, and feeling like a million dollars again!
Victoria, I would like to take this time to THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, WITHOUT YOUR VIDEOS I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO! I WOULD TELL EVERYBODY, YOU ARE THE BEST, AND THE EXERCISES WORK!!!!
