Hi Victoria,
I have been struggling the last few weeks with depression and fear. Your newsletters are my manna that gets me to keep my health, my body and my spirit in check. I have gained 3 pounds this holiday season so far and I feel like such a loser.

Hi Lucia, Thank you for being a loyal follower. I am the most blessed girl in the world! I love you and all of my readers. I get so many wonderful emails throughout the week. It says a lot about a person who can put aside all of their own stuff and take the time to compliment someone who is working at enriching their life.

Writing, speaking, sharing is my life’s mission. If I am not sharing, helping or giving life, good words, inspiration and cheer to someone, I don’t even want to leave home. My field of work requires me to leave at a moment’s notice and go to various confidential locations and work with unique individuals who trust a small inner circle.

When I answer those calls, it’s difficult. Yet I know that when I help one, I help many. Some are more forgiving than others, so when I get kind emails, it uplifts me and I am rejuvenated in spirit and I get more juice to help more people.

The hardest part of changing is finding someone who actually listens and wants help! You are brave for reaching out past modern medicinal traditions to seek another optional approach to combating depression.

First of all, you must want to step outside of mediocrity and the methods of the masses. You must want to consider that your body is divinely designed and there are many solutions to a problem.

Also, you can stop beating yourself up for gaining weight. The average American gains 8-10 pounds during the holidays. Thankfully you caught yourself early and you can reverse it.

Here are some quick tips to help you lose fat right away.

Reduce Your Fat Intake by 50%
. That means eat half the regular amount you currently eat.

Eliminate or cut down on alcohol
Holiday drinking is another way we gain body fat rapidly. Alcohol has no fat but it interferes with your fat burning metabolism. Your body will choose to oxidize alcohol instead of fat if you are going to drink alcohol, drink a beer. And if you are going to drink a beer, drink a light beer with only one hundred calories.

Quick Tips At A Glance

1. Do Not Skip Meals
Skipping meals during the day can lead to over-eating at night. Heavy eating at night is a sure fire way to pack on pounds fast.

2. Stay On a Solid Eating Schedule.
Even when shopping, training or working two jobs, schedule your meals in advance. Take meals with you in plastic containers if necessary. Make eating low-fat and low-glycemic your lifetime mission. The better you eat, the better you feel and operate. You deserve to feel awesome and life an amazing life.

3. Keep Your Blood Sugar Balanced.
Become sensitive to your energy needs and moods. If you skip meals, your blood sugar gets unstable and that can lead to massive overeating and anxiety and depression. A large number of people now use proper nutrition and exercise to combat depression. Join us! Life’s much more enjoyable when you open the drapes and clear your mind so that you can set new goals and work toward their accomplishment.

4. Eat Protein.
Have some form of complete protein at every meal and stay with low-glycemic fat burning carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates pack on the pounds and ruin your energy.
It has been proven that eating a healthy diet with good protein helps to prevent diabetes too. What a great bonus.

5. Rest
God knows that we need rest. He even wrote it in the commandments. You need to get RESTFUL rejuvenating sleep every night. Your hormone balance depends on it.

6. Exercise
Cardio is crucial for beating depression. Your body releases happy hormones into the blood and your brain thrives on it. Get outside and move. Whether it’s hot, cold, wet or dry, your body will benefit when you get some fresh air and oxygen in your bloodstream. You will feel brand new when you learn to walk away your pain and anxiety instead of masking it artificially.

"It is a miracle that I am standing before you wearing these skimpy red Nike shorts with out a hint of self-consciousness or shame. Two years ago I would have never dreamed of this day. Victoria:
I have read over your wake up call several times and realized that I too had a wake up call. I am a secretary employed at a hospital and they call codes that we have to respond to example code red = fire. On this particular day a code was called on the 4th floor of the hospital and of course you cannot take the elevator.

Now I work on the ground floor which meant I had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to the 4th floor, when I got to the 4th floor, I was breathing so hard, my heart was pounding, I was sweating, I couldn't even talk, I felt like lying on the floor, but I made my way to a chair and collapsed. I got a book and started fanning myself, and trying to catch my breath. With everyone asking "are you alright"? And I could only shake my head, "yes". I of course waited and took the elevator back to the ground floor. But later I begin to think about what the doctor told me on my last visit. "Heart disease runs in your family and you could stand to lose 20 or more pounds", when it came to weight I would always put 125lbs. but I weighed 158lbs.

After that incident I joined a health club, and started in the low impact aerobics classes Monday thru Thursday "faithfully". I noticed that I had more stamina and energy, and begun losing weight and my thighs did not rub together... joy, joy. From this, 2 years ago I started an aerobics class at my church 2 days a week, I had instructors come and teach the class, then I was encouraged to become an instructor which I will become certified in a few months.

We have gone from chair aerobics, to regular aerobics, to step aerobics, and to strength training. I have 2 other young ladies that work with me, and we all enjoy it so much. And my doctor is pleased with my weight, and so am I. I love your dvd's and use your instructions to teach my classes, I love the way you explain what you are doing and why. Thanks for all that you do, because you are an encouragement to me.
