Feed Yourself to Health!

Did you know that your body has a tremendous capacity to heal itself and bring itself back into balance. That’s right. All you have to do is feed your body the right nutrients and it will nourish it’s way to wellness.

But Not All Food is Nutritious

Over the years, we have ravaged our health with degenerated foods that we buy that are loaded with additives and unhealthy fillers. We have eaten fried foods that have clogged our arteries and our stuffed our jeans.

Life is moving so quickly that we eat more Bad Fast Food today than any generation in history. Even though we are eating lots and lots of food we are getting very little nutrition.

I know because that is how I gained over sixty pounds of unhealthy body fat
. We may be feeding ourselves, but we are not eating proper nutrition. The result is cancer and diabetes are running rampant in our society.

We Perish For Lack of Knowledge

We have conditioned ourselves to eating certain foods because of habits, lifestyles, cultural inheritances and convenience. We have done what we have known and it has created an epidemic of obesity and illness.

Not Any More!

You have to be healthy, healed and filled with energy if you are going to do all the things that God has called you to do. It’s our time to get healed and take back our destiny.

Have you reached a plateau in your weight loss, and your wardrobe is not looking perfect on your behind yet? I imagine you may be feeling like the majority of frustrated e-mailers I heard from this last week. Many of you want to know what to do when the scale won’t move.

Be still and know that if your follow your Quick Start Energy Program plan, God will help you achieve your desired results.

First, quietly and honestly analyze your lifestyle and see if it lines up with your fitness and weight loss goals.

Below is a list of things that could be causing your weight loss progress to stall. Read the list carefully and take immediate action to get yourself back on track.

1) Fewer Hidden Carbohydrates. More Protein. You may be eating foods that you think are low-carb but really aren’t. Unwanted carbohydrates sneaking into your diet can add up fast. Refer back to your Quick Start Energy Program for the approved foods you are able to eat and stick to those back in your low-carb diet.

If you don’t seem to get enough protein, consider Life Force Amino Charge as a high quality protein drink. I have used it every morning for two years to keep my hormones balanced, blood sugar stabilized and appetite controlled. Whenever I did something crazy like sleeping in and forgetting to take Amino Charge I would feel sluggish (lack of “charge”) and would fall face first into a sugar binging frenzy making a run for my favorite sticky gooey pastry. Luckily, God would gently nudge me and restore my mind to consciousness and I would call an immediate halt and take my Amino Charge as soon as I could get to it and become sane and in control again.

2) Too Much Food! The average body can only digest 500-800 calories at a sitting when you are on a weight loss plan. Eat only when you are hungry and don’t over do it. Keep your portion sizes low and be still and eat quietly with focus on nourishing your body and not sedating our emotions. Just because you are eating correct foods does not mean that you can stuff yourself until you are overfull.

3) Not Enough Exercise. You should be exercising at least five days per week for a minimum of forty five minutes to boost your metabolism and help your body to burn unwanted fat. You can starve yourself and lose weight, but you will not be healthy, fit or strong. Schedule appointments with yourself to exercise every week. Open a reminder calendar program on your computer and type “Health Appointment” or whatever motivates you to get up and work out. Make yourself a priority. Self Development and Great Health is the greatest gift you can give yourself and the ones you love. When you feel good, you are happier and less stressed.

4) Not drinking enough water. A bare minimum recommendation is 64 fluid oz (that's 8 - 8 oz glasses) of water a day, every day seven days per week. If you aren’t consuming enough water you can try to substitute with non-caffeine teas and diet sodas. Remember that these aren’t the same as water but will help you break your plateau and be the envy of those around you.

Victoria’s Quick Start Energy Program is absolutely phenomenal!

Before I went on Victoria’s Quick Start Energy Program I was a mess. At the time I was teaching my own fitness classes while trying to recover from knee surgery. I was carrying 30 plus extra pounds around as a result of the injury and I was desperate to get it off but it felt like a losing battle. I was constantly having to sit with my legs elevated and I could feel the pounds adding up. I couldn’t even walk fast let alone run. I had to modify many moves for myself so I could still teach class. Healthy Recipe

Turkey Sausage Stew

Makes: 8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/4 pounds lowfat turkey sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1-1/2 pounds sauerkraut, drained
  • 2-1/4 apples, peeled, cored and cut into rings
  • 3/4 onion, sliced into rings
  • 2 pounds red potatoes, quartered
  • 1-1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 1/2-teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1/2 cup non/lowfat Swiss cheese, shredded

Directions:

  • Place half the sausage in a crockpot and top with sauerkraut.
  • Top this mixture with remaining sausage, apple, onion and potatoes.
  • Add stock and caraway seeds.
  • Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
  • Top with cheese and serve.

  • Serving size: 1 cup
  • Calories: 330
  • Fat: 7 g
  • Cholesterol: 50 mg
  • Protein: 20 g
  • Carbs: 45 g
  • Fiber: 5 g
