Honor, respect and treat your body with the dignity and care it deserves. Your Body is the temple that houses the Holy Spirit, let's treat it that way.

If you had a precious piece of valuable sculpted art, say 1 million dollars, would you leave it lying around unprotected? If the appraiser said you have to keep it in a safe clean environment, would you put it in the garage and stack junk all around it? I don't think so!

Exercise is one of the most valuable life enhancing activities you can engage in. It is natural for us to be physically fit. By habit, we teach ourselves to be complacent and inactive. Our bodies are continuous streams of energy and nutrients. It is ever-changing, just like our thoughts, emotions and feelings. Our bodies are not designed to spend several hours motionless and stagnant. We were made to move!

Exercise improves your overall health, helps you control your weight, relieves stress, reduces your chance of a heart attack. Exercise is a necessity not an accessory when you have a few extra minutes. You deserve to live a high quality live filled with energy, vigor, vitality love, enthusiasm and peace.

All movement is dance movement. Dance movement is physical motion with direction, purpose and rhythm. Even walking is dancing. Putting one foot in front of the other and swinging the arms freely in opposition requires rhythm, coordination and balance. This is why dance posture and dance principles are crucial when developing a physique that is structurally beautiful in design and gracefully artistic when in motion.

Dance movement makes the body appear more statuesque, balanced and centered. It can reduce the effect that gravity has on the body. Weekly Fit Tip

TAKE TIME TO THINK AND PLAN
Highly productive people take the time to think, plan and set priorities. They then launch quickly and strongly toward their goals and objectives. They work steadily, smoothly and continuously and seem to go through enormous amounts of work in the same time period that the average person spends socializing, wasting time and working on low value activities.

GETTING INTO "FLOW"
When you work on high-value tasks at a high and continuous level of activity, you can actually enter into an amazing mental state called "flow." Almost everyone has experienced this at some time. Really successful people are those who get themselves into this state far more often than the average.
In the state of "flow," which is the highest human state of performance and productivity, something almost miraculous happens to your mind and emotions.

DOUBLE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY
You feel elated and clear. Everything you do seems effortless and accurate. You feel happy and energized. You experience a tremendous sense of calm and personal effectiveness.

BECOME MORE ALERT AND AWARE
In the state of "flow," identified and talked about over the centuries, you actually function on a higher plane of clarity, creativity and competence. You are more sensitive and aware. Your insight and intuition functions with incredible precision. You see the interconnectedness of people and circumstances around you. ACTION EXERCISES
First, select one major task confronting you and launch into it immediately. Don’t hesitate. Move fast. Second, start doing this every morning, first thing, until it becomes a habit.

Healthy Recipe

Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Parsnips

  • 9 medium baking potatoes (3 pounds), such as russet
  • 1 1/2 lbs parsnips
  • 1 bulb garlic, unpeeled
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter (no substitutes)
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp freshly ground pepper

1 Peel potatoes and parsnips; cut into 1/2-inch chunks. Cook in a Dutch oven or large saucepan in boiling salted water until tender, about 25 to 30 minutes. Drain.

2 Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut about 1/2 inch off tip of garlic head, and discard. Place garlic in a custard cup. Drizzle with olive oil. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until tender when pierced with the tip of a sharp knife. Let cool. Squeeze garlic pulp out of peels. Mash with a fork, and set aside.

3 Press the potatoes and parsnips through a potato ricer or food mill (or mash with a potato masher), and return them to the Dutch oven.

4 Heat milk and butter in a small saucepan just until boiling. Stir into the potato mixture. Stir in mashed garlic, the 3/4 teaspoon salt, and the 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Heat through. Season to taste with additional salt and pepper. Serve immediately. Makes 14 servings.

  • Ready in: 55 minutes
