Quick Tips to Drop Post-Party Pounds Fast!


Victoria, I am having fun following you on twitter. You have so many interesting things you do in a week. What fun!

Okay, I am a sports fanatic and I always have a crazy Super Bowl party for my single girlfriends and me. We do facials, pedicures and watch those tight uniforms and fantasize.

I know that I a going to eat like a barbarian. What is the best way to detox and get that alcohol, sugar and salt out of my body quickly without fasting and starving?

Girlfriend, you are not alone on Super Bowl Day! Super Bowl Sunday is the second largest day of food consumption, behind only Thanksgiving. Six percent of Americans will call in sick the day after Super Bowl Sunday.

What good is life if we can’t just have a day of total indulgence? If it was good enough for Rome and the Gladiators, it’s good enough for us. Thankfully there are some things we never grow out of.

Steps To Post Party Hearty Detox


Eat- Don’t Fast. I rarely think fasting is a good idea, even a juice fast unless you have specific medical reasons and have a natural doctor assisting you. You can end up feeling worse. It can cause headaches, fatigue, irritability, aches and pains, vitamin and mineral deficiencies and muscle breakdown.

Stop the Chemicals - Lighten up the toxin load by eliminating alcohol, cigarettes, and refined sugars. Avoid harsh chemical laden foods like processed meats and food from a can as well for a couple of days.

Move – Exercising your body eliminates toxins by sweating. Getting your heart rate up will get your get your circulation going and burn the extra calories of quickly. Try to do exercise that makes you sweat. You can even wear more clothing to help

Heat – Get Hot! Take a hot bath with a cup of Epsom salt to help purify your system. If you have access to a hot tub or sauna and have no medical issues, get in either one for a few minutes to get a healthy sweat going. Never exceed the limit posted by either one. Make sure you drink extra fluids when you do this so that you don’t dehydrate your body.

Drink Lemon Water- Drinking purified water with fresh lemons squeezed helps stimulate the body's self-cleaning process and breaks up mucus that is clogging the body. Drink 2-6 quarts a day for a week to help get your body cleansed and operating at peak levels.

Eat Detoxifying Foods- Top detox foods
Green leafy vegetables: Eat them raw, throw them into a broth, and add them to juices. Their chlorophyll helps swab out environmental toxins (heavy metals, pesticides) and protects the liver.

Garlic: In addition to the bulb's cardio benefits, it activates liver enzymes that help filter out junk.

Green tea: This antioxidant-rich brew is one of the healthiest ways to get more fluids into your system. Bonus: It contains catechins, which speed up liver activity.

Broccoli sprouts: They pack 20 to 50 times more cancer-fighting, enzyme-stimulating activity into each bite than the grown-up vegetable.

Cabbage: There are two main types of detoxifying enzymes in the liver; this potent veggie helps activate both of them.

You probably wont even read these tips until Tuesday, but as soon as you read them, get buds. Get to work and get cleansed. Take all the extra bad food to work and leave in the break room, throw it away, give it the neighbors, take the unopened bags back to the supermarket and trade them in for fresh lemons and veggies.

Stay in the zone! Let the spirit of fun and energy continue to vibrate in your soul and stay away from the news! What is…is and you have to stay focused on creating joy and prosperity and not focus on the negative fear that is trying to come over our nation.

God is in charge and He is bigger than any problem. Be responsible, be informed, take appropriate positive action for your self and your family, but don’t be fearful.

I have read over your wake up call several times and realized that I too had a wake up call. I am a secretary employed at a hospital and they call codes that we have to respond to example code red = fire. On this particular day a code was called on the 4th floor of the hospital and of course you cannot take the elevator. Now I work on the ground floor which meant I had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to the 4th floor, when I got to the 4th floor, I was breathing so hard, my heart was pounding, I was sweating, I couldn't even talk, I felt like lying on the floor, but I made my way to a chair and collapsed. I got a book and started fanning myself, and trying to catch my breath. With everyone asking "are you alright"? And I could only shake my head, "yes". I of course waited and took the elevator back to the ground floor. But later I begin to think about what the doctor told me on my last visit. "Heart disease runs in your family and you could stand to lose 20 or more pounds", when it came to weight I would always put 125lbs. but I weighed 158lbs. After that incident I joined a health club, and started in the low impact aerobics classes Monday thru Thursday "faithfully". I noticed that I had more stamina and energy, and begun losing weight and my thighs did not rub together... joy, joy. From this, 2 years ago I started an aerobics class at my church 2 days a week, I had instructors come and teach the class, then I was encouraged to become an instructor which I will become certified in a few months. We have gone from chair aerobics, to regular aerobics, to step aerobics, and to strength training. I have 2 other young ladies that work with me, and we all enjoy it so much. And my doctor is pleased with my weight, and so am I. I love your dvd's and use your instructions to teach my classes, I love the way you explain what you are doing and why. Thanks for all that you do, because you are an encouragement to me.
